2. Processing of personal data

Personal data is processed in various ways. Depending on the type of data, this data can be consulted by us or by third parties (see point 3).

We use data minimization and try to minimize the retention period of data.

2.1 General website visit

Data about visiting the website is collected and processed anonymously to improve the website. This data includes technical data of the browser, duration of the visit and pages visited.

If one makes use of our contact form or joins our purpose, the data will be saved on the server as well as in the mailbox. The retention period for communication is to be consulted under 2.2.

2.2 General communication

General data of communication like emails are saved for 5 years to enable a smooth communication.

Subscribers that join the cause can email us to sign off the list. The list only contains their email address with which they signed up.

(With regard to the mailing list via Mailchimp, subscribers can always unsubscribe via a link in the mailing. A double opt-in is used to ensure consent when signing up to the mailing list. We werken met een double opt-in. Data are erased after 2 years of inactivity. After unsubscribing, the email address will be kept except when one asks to remove it explicitly.)

Data is being shared with carefully selected partners to learn about the activity on the site. An overview of the partners that have access to (parts of) the collected data is found in the table below.

5. Cookies and cookie policy

As a visitor, data is collected and processed anonymously to improve the website. Retargeting is not used. The data collected includes technical data of the browser, duration of visit and pages visited.

If this implicit data collection and/or processing is not desired, a browser ad blocker plugin can be used. Cookies can be blocked at browser level. This can be set in each browser via the general settings.
